24 Days of Crochetmas: Day 3 – Bells of Christmas

You will need

6g/15m of any DK yarn (I have used Hobbycrafts WI Premium Acrylic Yarn)
3,5mm crochet hook
Yarn needle
Short length of thread of paper yarn to hang
Glitter glue (optional)

Pattern 

Pendulum
Make magic ring.
Rnd 1: Make 4 dc into magic ring. (4 sts)
Rnd 2: *2 dc, 1 dc* twice (6 sts)
Rnd 3: *dc2tog, 1 dc* twice (4 sts)

Insert hook into 3rd stitch and sl st together.

Ch 12 for the string. Do not fasten off.

Bell

Rnd 1: 6 dc into second ch from hook, making sure to do 3 on one side of the chain, and 3 on the other, so the chain hangs down the centre and not to one side. Make sure it is hanging on the WS.
Rnd 2: 2 dc  in each st around (12 sts)
Rnd 3: *2 dc, 1 dc* 6 times (18 sts)
Rnd 4: *2 dc, 1 dc in next 2 sts* 6 times (24 sts)
Rnd 5-10: 1 dc in each st around. (24 sts x 6 rnds)
Rnd 11: *2 dc, 1 dc in next 4 sts* 4 times. (28 sts)
Rnd 12: 1 dc in each st around.
Rnd 13: *2dc, 1 dc in next 2 sts* 8 times (32 sts)
Rnd 14 (FLO): *2 dc, 1 dc in next 7 sts* 4 times. (36 sts)
Rnd 15 (BLO): 1 dc in each st around (36 sts)
Rnd 16 (BLO): *dc2tog, 1 dc in next 4 sts* 6 times (30 sts)

Fasten off. and weave in ends. Pinch the bottom rim to make the edge appear rolled.

Attach your thread or paper yarn through the top of the bell and tie on the inside to hide the ends. Hand on the tree!
