Octopus Amigurumi - Crochet for Beginners - Part One - Head & Gusset

Octopus Head

Using a 4mm hook and your yarn, make a magic ring.

RND 1:  6 dc into the ring and pull tight. (6 sts)

RND 2: inc (2 dc) into each st. (12 sts)

RND 3: dc, inc (2 dc), 6 times. (18 sts)

RND 4: dc, inc (2 dc), dc, 6 times. (24 sts)

RND 5: dc, inc (2 dc), 6 times. (30 sts)

RND 6: *2 dc, inc (2 dc), 2 dc, rep from * 6 times. (36 sts)

RND 7-16: dc in each st. (36 sts each)

RND 17: *2 dc, dc2tog, 2 dc, rep from * 6 times. (30 sts)

RND 18: *3 dc, dc2tog, rep from * 6 times.

Fasten off and weave in your yarn end.

Using a 4mm hook and your yarn, make a magic ring.

RND 1:  6 dc into the ring and pull tight. (6 sts)

RND 2: inc (2 dc) into each st. (12 sts)

RND 3: dc, inc (2 dc), 6 times. (18 sts)

RND 4: dc, inc (2 dc), dc, 6 times. (24 sts)

Fasten off and weave in your yarn end.
