The Eras CAL - The Showgirl Feathers

Big feathers (Make 3)

Using a 5mm hook and Colour 8, ch 12.

You will work the arms of the feather by working a smaller chain off of the main chain, the last sl st will work into the main chain to move back down it.

Row 1: sl st in 2nd ch from hook. sl st in next 2 ch. *Ch 3, sl st in 2nd ch from hook, sl st in next 2 ch (2nd ch will be the next ch in main chain), rep from * to end 8 times. (9 arms of feather worked). Ch 3, dc in 2nd ch from hook, dc in next ch. Now you will work back up the other side of the ch. Sl st in next 8 chs. *Ch 3, sl st in 2nd ch from hook, sl st in next 2 ch (2nd ch will be the next ch in main chain), rep from * to end 8 times. (8 arms of feather worked).

You will end up with 19 arms in total. One in the middle at the top, and 8 on either side opposite each other.

Small feathers (Make 2)

Using a 5mm hook and Colour 8, ch 10.

You will work the arms of the feather by working a smaller chain off of the main chain, the last sl st will work into the main chain to move back down it.

Row 1: sl st in 2nd ch from hook. sl st in next 2 ch. *Ch 3, sl st in 2nd ch from hook, sl st in next 2 ch (2nd ch will be the next ch in main chain), rep from * to end 6 times. (7 arms of feather worked). Ch 3, dc in 2nd ch from hook, dc in next ch. Now you will work back up the other side of the ch. Sl st in next 6 chs. *Ch 3, sl st in 2nd ch from hook, sl st in next 2 ch (2nd ch will be the next ch in main chain), rep from * to end 6 times. (6 arms of feather worked).

You will end up with 13 arms in total. One in the middle at the top, and 6 on either side opposite each other.
