Week Two Square Five: Treble Crochet Stripes
Stitches you need to know
YO yarn over - bring your yarn over your hook from the back over the top to the front
CH chain - pull your yarn over through the loop on your hook.
DC double crochet (US sc - single crochet) - insert your hook into the stitch, yarn over and pull up a loop. Yarn over and pull through both loops on your hook.
TR treble crochet (US dc - double crochet) - yarn over, insert your hook into the stitch, yarn over and pull up a loop. Yarn over and pull through 2 loops on your hook twice.

17sts and 8 rows per 10x10cm square
The Pattern
Using your CC1, ch 27.
ROW 1: tr into 4th ch from hook (counts as st). 23 tr to end. Join your next colour on last yo.
Turn your work. (25 sts) Join your MC on your final YO of row 1.
ROW 2: ch 3 (counts as st here and throughout), tr into base of ch 3 (top of last st from prev row), tr in each st to end. Join next colour on last yo. Do not tr in top of ch 3.
ROW 3-15: As row 2, alternating between your colours.
Fasten off and weave in your end.
Attach to any st in your last row, dc in each st to corner (dc ch, dc) into corner st, roughly place 25-27 sts down the edge. Make sure to crochet over carried yarns.
Finish with an invisible finish.
